DEFCO’s Brace Bands are used to attach all horizontal rails, tension wires, and occasionally barbwire directly to terminal posts. This almost always includes the top rail, but may also include bottom rails, mid rails, braces, and truss rods.
• Use one brace band per framework/wire connection.
• You will also need a properly sized rail end cup for attaching horizontal framework.
• Barbwire and tension wire are simply attached by wrapping them around the bolt.
Hardware required: One M8 x 40 mm carriage bolt with nut & spring washer per band.

DEFCO’s Tension Bands are utilized to attach the chain link fabric securely to the terminal posts.
• Rule of thumb: Use one less band than the height of the fence you are installing (e.g., a 5' high fence uses 4 tension bands per hook-up).
Hardware required: One M8 x 40 mm carriage bolt with nut & spring washer per band.
