Top Rail Sleeves

DEFCO’s Top Rail Sleeves: Chain link top rail sleeves are primarily used to securely 'sleeve' two pieces of unswedged top rail together. Please note that sleeves are unnecessary if the top rail already has a swedge on one end.

Truss Rods and Tighteners

Truss rods and truss rod tighteners are used when braces and trusses are installed on chain link fences, primarily for commercial jobs. Bracing and trussing a chain link fence serves the critical purpose of keeping posts plumb (i.e., end, corner, and gate posts) under the duress of a tightly stretched chain link fabric.

Typically, braces and trusses are installed just after posts have set up in concrete and before the chain link fabric is stretched taut.
